Counsellor · Psychotherapist · Wellbeing Practitioner
Integrative, whole-person therapy to help you believe in yourself just as you are.

An integrative, whole-body approach.
“Emotional distress is often experienced physically, just as persistent pain and illness can affect our thoughts, emotions and sense of self.”
No two people are the same: I aim to meet your needs through building a safe & trusting therapeutic relationship. Emotional distress is often experienced physically, just as persistent pain and illness can affect our thoughts, emotions and sense of self.
Drawing on my experience in rehabilitation and health psychology, I support clients in exploring this connection with compassion and curiosity. Many people find that understanding the emotional impact of persistent pain helps them feel more connected, more resilient and better able to live alongside it.
Ways I can help
01
Individual counselling
Support for anxiety, depression, stress, overwhelm, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties and life transitions.
02
Mind and Body
Compassionate support around persistent pain, long-term health conditions and the emotional impact of physical illness.
03
Parents & Families
Support for parents navigating a child’s mental-health difficulties while caring for their own wellbeing.
Approaches to therapy
01
Face-to-Face
In the comfort of the Cookham Holistic Therapy Centre, individual counselling is offered for those who prefer a warm and cosy space.
02
Walk and talk therapy
Many people find that walking side by side in nature creates a more relaxed and less intimidating environment than sitting face to face. Movement can help us access thoughts and feelings differently, especially during times of anxiety, overwhelm, loss or uncertainty.
03
Online
Confidential and more flexible and accessible times and space if this is your preference.

About Sharon
“Healing happens through connection — with ourselves, with other people and with the world around us”
I’m Sharon Price, I am a counsellor, rehabilitation therapist and wellbeing practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience supporting people through emotional, relational and physical challenges.
As no two people are the same, I offer an integrative whole-body approach, drawing on different therapeutic models to meet your individual needs through building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship.
My experience in physical rehabilitation, health psychology and mediation shapes a whole-person approach that recognises how emotional wellbeing, physical health and relationships influence one another.
Before adding to my experience by training as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I worked across rehabilitation, health psychology and mediation. These experiences shape the way I work today, allowing me to understand how emotional wellbeing, physical health and relationships influence one another.
Alongside my private practice, I work with children and young people through Number 22 Community Counselling, providing counselling within schools. Supporting young people through difficult periods of their lives has enhanced my understanding that everyone can develop resilience and autonomy through being heard, understood and supported.
As both a therapist and a parent, I also understand how difficult it can be when a child is struggling with their mental health. Having experienced the challenges of navigating support systems myself, I have a particular interest in working with parents who are trying to make sense of complex situations while caring for their own wellbeing.
Both my professional and personal experience has developed a deep understanding of the relationship between emotional wellbeing and physical health.
I have many years’ experience supporting people living with persistent pain and long-term health conditions, recognising how pain can affect every aspect of life, including relationships, confidence, identity and emotional wellbeing. My work acknowledges the close connection between mind and body, helping clients make sense of their experiences and develop new ways of relating to both emotional and physical challenges.
I work alongside my clients, helping them develop greater self-awareness, resilience, autonomy and confidence.
